Each cutting board is handmade and unique, with every piece showing its own distinct grain pattern. Beech is a classic European hardwood known for its toughness and fine, even texture. The wood is steamed during its drying process to enhance its stability and to bring out a more uniform, pinkish-brown colour.
Every board comes with a tin of Rogue Wood board butter, to help you keep your board in pristine condition.

What is an end-grain cutting board?
To understand what an end-grain cutting board is, it helps to know that most wooden cutting boards are made using edge-grain construction. These are made by laying strips of wood side by side horizontally, and gluing them together. The wood fibers in these boards run horizontally. An end-grain board, in contrast, is made so that the wood fibers run vertically, creating a more durable cutting surface.
How long does it take to make my board?
Our boards are made to order. Production takes 1–2 weeks.

How should I clean and care for my board?
Cleaning
- Wash by hand with water and dish soap.
- Always wash both the top and bottom to prevent warping.
- Never soak the board or put it in the dishwasher.
- Dry immediately with a towel, then stand it on its side or feet to finish drying.
Storage
- Store in a well-ventilated area.
- Keep away from direct sunlight and other heat sources.
Maintenance
Apply the supplied cutting board butter monthly, or whenever the wood looks dry.
Clean the board and let it dry fully. Then use a soft cloth to apply the product and wipe off any excess.
Will my board look exactly like the photos?
No. Each cutting board is handmade and unique. Because wood is a natural product, every piece looks slightly different, with its own grain pattern and colour.
