Die Hirnholz-Schneidefläche dieses Schneidebretts aus Zuckerahorn (Acer saccharum) schont Ihre Messer und ist zugleich außergewöhnlich widerstandsfähig gegen die tägliche Beanspruchung.
Jedes Schneidebrett wird von Hand gefertigt und ist ein Unikat, denn jedes Stück zeigt seine ganz eigene Maserung. Das von Natur aus dichte Ahorn-Hartholz sorgt für lange anhaltende Stabilität und überzeugt mit einem warmen, hellen Farbton.
Zu jedem Brett gehört eine Dose Rogue Wood Brettbutter, damit Ihr Brett dauerhaft in einwandfreiem Zustand bleibt.
Um zu verstehen, was ein Hirnholz-Schneidebrett ist, hilft es zu wissen, dass die meisten Schneidebretter aus Holz in Längsholz-Bauweise gefertigt werden. Dafür werden Holzstreifen waagerecht nebeneinandergelegt und miteinander verleimt. Die Holzfasern verlaufen in diesen Brettern waagerecht. Bei einem Hirnholzbrett hingegen verlaufen die Holzfasern senkrecht. So entsteht eine widerstandsfähigere Schneidfläche.

Das Brett reinigen und vollständig trocknen lassen. Das Pflegemittel anschließend mit einem weichen Tuch auftragen und Überschüsse abwischen.
Nein. Jedes Schneidebrett ist handgefertigt und einzigartig. Da Holz ein Naturprodukt ist, sieht jedes Stück etwas anders aus und hat seine eigene Maserung und Farbe.

I was delighted to receive my maple cutting board from Niels. The board is obviously made with care and attention, with a beautiful finish. It arrived packaged very nicely with plenty of wood conditioner on it, and came with a tin of board butter which was a great touch to help with the longevity of the board. It is sturdy without being cumbersome and now occupies a favoured place among my kitchen every-day staples. From reading about Niels on his website, to contacting him directly, the whole process felt personal and full of care. I am delighted to support a small local producer like this rather than a large mass-produced company.
